Description:

Coconut oil can be used for cosmetic, dermatological purposes, as a natural remedy for various conditions, or in cooking.

Coconut oil plays an essential role in relieving stress, hair and skin care, maintaining optimal cholesterol levels, improving the immune system and bone resistance, dental care, digestion, kidney problem relief, and prevention and treatment of heart diseases. It also normalizes blood pressure, helps the body fight against cancer and diabetes. When applied to an infection, coconut oil forms a chemical layer that protects the infected part of the body from external dust, air, fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Coconut oil is particularly effective in treating bruises as it accelerates the healing process by repairing affected tissues.

Irish scientists from Athlone Institute of Technology have examined the effects of natural coconut oil on common strains of bacteria found in the mouth and concluded that coconut oil could be an effective alternative to the chemical additives found in most dental hygiene products. This refers to many sulfate chemicals, which are linked to many diseases, fluoride, and others. Researchers agree that coconut oil could be an alternative solution with far fewer side effects than medications.

In its production, no solvents are used, and volatile compounds are retained, giving this product a rich and pleasant coconut aroma. Coconut is very rich in saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated fats, carbohydrates, sugars, fibers, and proteins. It contains vitamins such as vitamin C, niacin, folic acid, vitamin B, and minerals such as magnesium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, calcium, potassium. Although coconut oil contains over 90% saturated fats, this type of oil is the only one in the plant kingdom with a high concentration of medium-chain fatty acids. Coconut oil is a source of medium-chain triglycerides such as lauric and caprylic acids.

Coconut oil is easily assimilated and metabolized by the body, providing a lot of energy. In Asia, where coconut oil is consumed very often, people do not have weight problems, which means that this oil does not cause weight gain but supports health. In addition, recent studies by nutritionists place coconut oil among foods that help reduce appetite.

Among the effects of coconut oil on the body are reducing the actions of viruses, parasites, bacteria, fungi at the digestive, pulmonary, urogenital, and epidermal levels.

It maintains cardiovascular health, is useful in treating digestive disorders, reduces the appearance of wrinkles and under-eye bags. It protects the skin from the harmful action of free radicals through its antioxidant effect, improves hair structure, reduces excess sebum from the scalp, provides elasticity, smoothness, and shine to the hair, maintains nail and cuticle health.

It treats skin problems, including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, and other infections, improves the absorption of nutrients; beneficial for the skin, providing hydration and elasticity, reducing the risk of age-related conditions.

It reduces menopausal symptoms, has an emollient and moisturizing effect on lips and gums, treats ear infections and pain, effectively heals burns, helps treat warts, and treats hemorrhoids.

It aids in the assimilation of vitamins and minerals.
